The painting is a visual documentation of an area in Lagos called Makoko. Makoko is a place where all life activities happen on water. Transportation is by canoe. The challenges in Makoko are significantly social, economic and environmental in nature, considering the frequent floods. Notwithstanding, the residents find comfort, joy and peace of mind in the area.
